Editorial Cover Story - Twisted featuring Travis Scott

Some partnerships are a match made in heaven. The artistic collaboration between the agenda-setting image maker and SHOWstudio director Nick Knight with hip-hop artist and Cactus Jack Records founder Travis Scott would definitely fall into this category.

In a project titled Twisted, Knight captures the musician in a series of jumps and twists, signifying the musician’s rise in the music industry. It’s a seriously stylish shoot with the rapper dressed in the likes of Liam Hodges, Alyx and Martine Rose. Take a look at the shoot here, from which you can view Knight’s signature style of contrasting dark shadows with light to accentuate motion.

The Fall Formal explores the aesthetic of a 1980’s prom. The idea was inspired by my own experiences with prom, as a child my school hugely lacked in diversity so I wanted to create the most inclusive prom experience I could think of while maintaining a fun/accepting treatment for the images. I also wanted to create references to iconic films such as Carrie (1976), which is why our beautiful prom queen is cradling the baby piglet, and the cult film Mean Girls in which the character Regina George is forced to attend prom in a head brace. Our plus size model Joanne’s character was inspired by Madonna in Material Girl. - Craig Hemming

Editorial Cover Story - Pam Hogg: Doing It Her Way

In a world dominated by shades of beige, we should be grateful for Pam Hogg’s raw, indomitable energy. A painter, musician, and self-taught fashion designer, she started making her own clothes in the eighties to get into Blitz, London’s legendary club. Despite dressing big names like Rihanna or Lady Gaga, she has never surrendered to the conventional fashion system. She still makes all her designs herself from an East London studio.
